10 Things You Should Know About Prodigy of Rainbow Tower

Thank you to Sarah M. Cradit for letting me write a guest blog in honor of the July 31st debut of my second book, Legends of Windemere: Prodigy of Rainbow Tower.  Feel free to buy and read Legends of Windemere: Beginning of a Hero, so you’re ready for the sequel.  Now, without further ado, 10 things you should know about Prodigy of Rainbow Tower:

  1. All of the characters you loved in the first book are back.  You get to see how Luke Callindor and his friends deal with their first big adventure without the watchful eye of experienced warriors.

  2. Nyx, the temperamental spellcaster.  This young woman is easily the most powerful hero in this series and the most fun to write.  She is tough, intelligent, sensitive, and downright dangerous.  Her debut brings the excitement of this series to a whole new level.

  3. Trinity, Queen of the Chaos Elves.  The magical rival of Nyx, this woman enhances the villain side of the story.  Unlike the Lich and the Hellfire Elf, Trinity is a lot more curious and cunning.  Even if her traps and agents fail, she is fully capable of destroying her enemies with her magic.

  4. More Fizzle.  Everyone loves this little dragon.FizzleFlats1

  5. See more of Windemere.  This adventure is about traveling down the L’Dandrin River to escort the heir of Duke Solomon to safety.  So, you get to explore many of the big cities of the area.  This includes Gaia the enormous coastal city, Rodillen the city of thieves, and the quiet city of Hero’s Gate.

  6. Trolls, orcs, and demons. This is the book where various monsters and demons are introduced.  Danger is lurking at every step and Trinity has a wide variety of deadly agents at her disposal.

  7. Explosive magical battles.  With the debut of Nyx and Trinity, the magic of Windemere takes the spotlight.  Everything from fireballs to wind shields will be unleashed as these two prodigies kickoff their rivalry.  I can tell you that I never get tired of writing magic duels between these two because they can always come up with something new.

  8. The hidden past of characters.  Think you know these characters?  It looks like many of them have some ghosts in their past that are about to appear.

  9. Still using humor to entertain.  Even though parts of Prodigy of Rainbow Tower are darker and more brutal than Beginning of a Hero, the humor is still there.  Luke still makes mistakes, Fritz Warrenberg still hits on every woman around, Nimby still causes mischief, and now Nyx is there to cause her own brand of trouble.  Feel sorry for Aedyn Karwyn, who has to deal with these lunatics.

  10. Most important thing you should know about Prodigy of Rainbow Tower?  According to all of the people who read early copies, this book is much better than my first book.  It has action, humor, friendship, anguish, joy, and everything you could possible want in a fantasy book.  Even a touch of romance.

I hope this list has you hungry for Prodigy of Rainbow Tower.  Don’t forget to buy Beginning of a Hero and catch this entertaining fantasy series from the start.
