Very Inspiring Blogger Award

very-inspiring-blogger-awardHot on the heels of learning I was nominated for two Liebster Awards, I have also been nominated for a Very Inspiring Blogger Award. There really aren’t words to describe how flattering that is. I mean, I write blog posts about things that are important to me and interest me…to know they might occasionally interest others is a nice feeling. To put it more simply: the goal of any writer is to write something that others can enjoy.

I was nominated by the very lovely blog Corner of the King, written by another aspiring writer who posts about the fun struggles of being a writer. Other writers should definitely check out her blog, but non-writers will find her posts amusing as well. Thank you again, Mrs. King!

The rules of the award state that you’re supposed to nominate 15 blogs, but usually this particular award only requires 7 (at least this is what my google search tells me), and I just nominated a bunch for the Liebster so I’m just going to nominate 7 for now.

Rules for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award:

  1. Display the award logo on your blog.
  2. Link back to the person who nominated you.
  3. State 7 things about yourself.
  4. Nominate 15 bloggers for this award.

7 Things About Me:

  1. I wrote my first novel when I was 13, but my sister destroyed half of it in a fit of angsty teenage revenge.
  2. My best dream ever had me as a guest drummer for the Foo Fighters on “Everlong.”
  3. I dressed up as a shieldmaiden of Rohan for The Hobbit premiere.
  4. I own a replica sword of Glamdring (the “Foe Hammer”).  I sometimes imagine using it on intruders just to see their reaction.
  5. I once wrote an essay on the Napoleonic invasion of Russia. I think I got an A purely because the professor found it too boring to finish.
  6. I tend to root for the underdogs of history. If I ever wrote a historical novel, it would be from that perspective.
  7. I’m a huge Celtics fan, and love to harass local Blazer fans by wearing my Paul Pierce jersey.

My Nominations for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award:

  1. Without Wax
  2. The Novel Reviewer
  3. Your Daily Dose
  4. Fashion For Lunch
  5. Toemail
  7. Meyer Lane’s Short Attention Span Press

  1. I love #6, history would probably be more fun to read that way too 🙂

Thanks again for this honour, Sarah! And congrats to you as well on your award!!

    1. Thanks Janice 🙂

And I know…it seems like there is so much lost that we never hear about, because history is written by the winners. I want to know the truth behind all the smear campaigns! (*cough* Anne Boleyn *cough*)
