I was completely surprised and humbled to be nominated for the Liebster Award- twice in one day! I wasn’t entirely sure where this blog was going to go when I started it, but so far I’ve enjoyed the WordPress community immensely, and I’ve come to really love getting to know other bloggers with similar interests.

So…a HUGE thank you to both Experienced Tutors and the Writer’s Blog for nominating my blog for the Liebster Award! This is the first award(s) my blog has received, and I appreciate both of you taking the time to consider me. For anyone reading this, I recommend checking out both of their blogs, as I’ve enjoyed following them.

The rules of the Liebster Award are as follows :
1. Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter on your blog and link back to the blogger who presented this award to you.
2. Answer the 11 questions from the nominator, list 11 random facts about yourself and create 11 questions for your nominees.
3. Present the Liebster Blog Award to 11 blogs of 200 followers or less who you feel deserve to be noticed and leave a comment on their blog letting them know they have been chosen. (No tag backs)
4. Copy and Paste the blog award on your blog

~~Questions asked by Experienced Tutors~~

  1. What do you think WordPress should do about cyberstalkers on their site when they receive a complaint?
    1. I think it depends on the results of the investigation. If it is determined that the complaint was legitimate, it should be reported to the authorities and the IP blocked.
  2. Do you think we should be able to block individuals from looking at our blog?
    1. Yes, although we kind of already can if we move our blog to private.
  3. If someone follows your blog do you think it good manners to follow theirs and do so?
    1. I don’t always follow the blog of someone who follows mine, but I do always check theirs out. 8/10 times I follow back.
  4. Were you pleased or annoyed to receive this award?
    1. Pleased 🙂
  5. Have you ever blogged with any site other than WordPress?
    1. I have a Tumblr account for LotR images.
  6. If so, what was your experience?
    1. I find Tumblr to be a lot less filtered than WordPress, and therefore more challenging to find the content I want.
  7. Approximately what percentage of posts do you read from blogs you are following?
    1. Probably about 40%, sometimes more depending on how much time I have.
  8. Approximately how long do you spend blogging each day?
    1. I probably spend about 2 hours/week creating posts and another 2 hours a week browsing other posts.
  9. How many blogs are you following?
    1. 123
  10. Which is the favourite blog you are following? Don’t say this one just because it’s given you an award. . .(lol)
    1. This was the hardest question to answer because I really enjoy all of the blogs I follow. If I have to pick one, though, it would be Meyer Lane’s Short Attention Span Press because he posts a lot of great resources for writers.
  11. Has eleven of everything on this Liebster Award post been too many? Should it have been the original five?
    1. I think 5 would probably be sufficient, but I’m just happy someone took the time to recognize my blog.
